Another near miss yesterday with Regal Envoy running as well as I expected and finishing well clear of the rest of the field in 2nd but unfortunately he was no match for the favourite Redorange who did indeed run up to market expectations. The selection very surprisingly drifted to 15/2 giving us a small profit for the each way bet.
For those of you who started following me from FB rather than the website, its been a quiet start unfortunately. Those who have been following since launch at the start of the season benefited from the 2 week spell that yielded 400% profit but that came after another quiet spell.
The way I choose my selections means there will always be quiet spells, but the key for me is to stick to my method and don't go chasing winners by looking at shorter price horses. The winners, when they come will be at a good price.
The last couple of races have been more like it with my selections running to expectations but just finding one too good.
Unfortunately there are no good quality races in the next couple of days and quality is important, over the last few weeks I have been trying my ratings out on some 0-70 and 0-75 races as there are many more of these each week. However my doubts were confirmed as, though my ratings still pick out those horses most likely to win should they run up to peak form, it is much harder to identify when they are likely to pull that run out of the bag.
I suppose its logical with many of the horses running in that class exactly because they lack consistency.
Look out for an email later in the week with the next selection.
Keep the faith!
