A frustrating result yesterday. Reigning Profit ran a cracker despite having to hunt for space and switch all the way to the far rail while the winner led all the way down the centre of the track.

As I warned in the post, these boosted prize funds tend to lead to horses miraculously coming back to form . The winner, Vantheman was well handicapped but there was nothing to indicate he may pull out a run like that .

This is the way things can go on a losing run but the key is that I stick to my process and the winners will come.

Hopefully starting today with Regal Envoy in the 17:40 at Windsor.

There is a short priced favourite in Redorange and I can see the logic, he was an eyecatcher at York last week when finishing 4 lengths down after having been repeatedly denied a run. However there is nothing to say what he would have found had the gaps appeared and I am happy to take him on at 6/5 with Regal Envoy who is 2-2 over C&D and also has two close 2nds from 4 runs over 6f there.

He won last time off 85 and has been raised 3lbs to 88 today, the same mark from which he won this race last year. He then followed up off 91 over C&D so he is on a winning mark and over a C&D he loves. The support for Redorange has pushed him out to 6/1 with Paddy Power which I think is a great price and allows me to play a little safe and go each way in case Redorange does justify the support.
